Leticia Toledo-Sherman, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Leticia currently serves as a Scientific Advisory Board Member at PTEN Research, Grove Biopharma, Inc., and is the Vice President of Chemistry at MycRx. Previously, they held the position of Senior Director of Drug Discovery - Tau Consortium at The Rainwater Charitable Foundation, where they led various therapeutic programs for Alzheimer's Disease and Alzheimer's Related Dementias. Leticia has also founded and operated their own consulting firm, Toledo-Sherman Consulting, LLC, providing expertise in due diligence, study design, medicinal chemistry, and patent preparation. Prior to that, they held various leadership roles at CHDI, Indel Therapeutics, Inc., Lymphosign Inc., ESBATech AG - Oncalis, and MDS Proteomics. Leticia'sroles involved directing drug discovery programs, computational chemistry consulting, and heading chemical proteomics efforts.
Leticia Toledo-Sherman, PhD, began their education journey at New Jersey City University from 1982 to 1987. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Chemistry, Math, and Physics. After completing their undergraduate studies, Leticia went on to Stony Brook University, where they earned their PhD in Organic Chemistry from 1989 to 1993. Following their doctoral studies, Leticia pursued further research opportunities, starting with a two-year period as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1996. During this time, their research focus was on Organic Chemistry. Continuing their research career, Leticia became an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Scripps Research from 1996 to 1997, specializing in Supramolecular Chemistry.
