Jim Guy is an accomplished attorney and leader in the energy industry, currently serving as the General Counsel for both Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative and Empower Broadband, Inc. Since 2009, Jim has held various leadership roles within the Energy Bar Association, including President for the Southern Chapter and Board Member. In addition, Jim chairs the State Air Pollution Control Board for the Commonwealth of Virginia and has extensive experience in energy law, providing representation for a diverse range of clients within the sector. Previous professional roles include Partner at Williams Mullen, Energy Industry Team Leader at LeClairRyan, and President of the Virginia Bar Association. Jim holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Studies from the University of Virginia.
