Bill Simms has over 25 years of experience in the finance and banking industry, currently serving as a Senior Commercial Loan Underwriter at Mechanics Bank since May 2015, specializing in commercial loans and lines of credit, including SBA 7a and SBA 504 loans. Prior to this role, Bill worked as a Vice President and Credit Underwriter at California Bank & Trust from March 2001 to May 2015, with a focus on similar loan products, and held positions in business development and underwriting at First Union Small Business Capital. Bill also has experience as a Mortgage Underwriter at Polaris Mortgage and management roles at Commercial Credit Group Inc. and American General Finance. Bill earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Administration from CSU Sacramento between 1985 and 1989.
