Elmo Parkkinen has had a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2008 when they worked as a Summer Worker at Järvensivun Konepaja Oy, where they primarily performed painting and cleaning tasks. In 2009, they returned to Järvensivun Konepaja Oy as a Summer Worker and was involved in property maintenance, storaging, shipment packing, and machine assistance.
In 2010, Elmo worked as a Summer Trainee at Metso Power Oy Environmental Systems, where they digitalized physical archives and completed daily office errands. The following year, in 2011, they worked as a Summer Trainee again at the same company, gathering reference information and updating reference lists. Elmo also focused on studying and modifying the Metso reference database program.
From 2012 to 2013, Elmo worked as a Summer Trainee at Renewa Oy, where they gathered service and maintenance manual material and provided office assistance. In 2014, they returned to Renewa Oy as a Design Engineer, working on design projects until 2016.
In 2017, Elmo joined KPA Unicon as a Mechanical Design Engineer, where they worked on various mechanical design projects until 2018. Elmo then joined Comatec Group in 2019 as a Design Engineer and remained in that role until 2021.
Currently, Elmo is working at Mecaplan Oy as a Design Engineer, a position they started in October 2021.
Elmo Parkkinen earned their Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Aalto University School of Engineering. Elmo attended the university from 2011 to 2020. In addition to their degree, Elmo also obtained various certifications including a Driving License from the Finnish Transport Safety Agency in May 2010. Elmo also obtained certifications in Occupational Safety Card from Alertum Oy in March 2019, Driver's Professional Competence (140h) from the Finnish Transport Safety Agency in June 2013, and Road Safety 1 from Liikennevirasto / Trafikverket / Finnish Transport Agency in September 2012.
