Sapphira Waterson has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sapphira started their career as a Welfare Officer at SSAFA the Armed Forces charity in 1998 and held the position until 2001. Sapphira then transitioned to the National Probation Service, working as a Probation Officer from 2001 to 2005. Sapphira then joined MDS Ltd, where they held multiple positions. Sapphira started as a Development Manager from 2005 to 2015, then became the Chief Operating Officer from 2015 to 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Executive Officer at MDS Ltd starting in August 2022.
Sapphira Waterson has a strong educational background. Sapphira completed their Bsc (Hons) in Community Justice Studies from Portsmouth University, graduating in 2004. Prior to that, they pursued their B A (Hons) in social science with social policy from The Open University, where they studied from 1997 to 2001.
In addition to their degrees, Sapphira also holds several certifications. In 2015, they obtained the 16pf certification from The British Psychological Society Division of Occupational Psychology. During the same year, they also became a Myers Briggs Type Indicator Practitioner, again from The British Psychological Society Division of Occupational Psychology. Most recently, in 2023, they completed the FT Non-Executive Director Programme - The Effective Non-Executive Director from the FT Board Director Programme.
