Luc Poirier has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Luc began their career at Quebec Amerique in 1993 as Director, where they stayed until 1999. Luc then moved on to Normal Solutions as a business analyst for a year before joining mdf commerce in 2000. At mdf commerce, Luc held various positions including Senior Business Analyst and Development Team Lead from 2000 to 2009. In 2009, they became a Product Owner, responsible for managing the product roadmap and coordinating with stakeholders and customers. Finally, in 2016, Luc was promoted to Director of Product Strategy at mdf commerce.

Luc Poirier's education history includes a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Université de Montréal, which they completed from 1987 to 1990. In 2020, they also obtained a Pragmatic certified product manager degree from Pragmatic Institute. Additionally, they have obtained two additional certifications from Pragmatic Institute: "Focus" in October 2020 and "Foundations" in July 2020.
