Joseph Furtado is a board certified registered nurse with 20 years of experience in healthcare. He has lived in the Phoenix metropolitan area with his wife and children since 1999 and is very involved in home health/hospice advocacy at both a state and national level, having held numerous roles such as President of the Arizona Association of Home Care, board member of the National Association of Home Care Legislative Affairs Committee, and as an advisor to National Government Services (CMS). He is a frequent speaker both regionally and nationally as a subject matter expert in home health, hospice, business development, and the recruitment and retention of clinical staff.
Joseph’s senior leadership roles in Home Health and Hospice have included Director of Clinical Services, Director of Home Health, and as an Administrator for both Home Health and Hospice. At MD Home Health and Hospice, Joseph has served as administrator since 2023 where he oversees the operations of home health, hospice, home care, remote patient monitoring, and a home based primary care practice. He attended Arizona State University and Central Arizona College where he received a degree in nursing. He is also board certified in Home Health and is a certified OASIS specialist (COS-C).
