David Barclay, MSc, is an experienced professional specializing in privacy management and compliance. Currently serving as Privacy Manager at MD Financial Management since 2021, David has previously held significant roles, including Manager of Compliance Policy and Programs at Canada Post from 2016 to 2020, where responsibilities included managing operational non-compliance risks and designing compliance workshops. Prior to that, David was the HSE and Compliance Manager at Sander Geophysics from 2004 to 2016, leading the implementation of a comprehensive compliance program. David's early career includes roles as a Senior Researcher for a community-based project in partnership with the University of Southampton and as a Community Worker at Shelter Associates, focusing on poverty alleviation strategies in India. David holds a Master of Science in International Development Management from The Open University and a Bachelor Honours in History from Carleton University, along with ongoing education in privacy through the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
