Kirby Sorensen is an experienced operations engineering manager currently leading the engineering team at McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing, Inc. since February 2016, focusing on continuous improvement and new product implementation in refuse collection operations. Previous roles include principal manufacturing engineer and senior manufacturing engineer, where Kirby developed standardized processes and efficiency plans that successfully reduced lead times. Additionally, as co-owner of Sorensen Honey Farm LLC since 2009, Kirby manages over 500 hives and optimizes honey processing practices. Prior experience spans various engineering roles at AGCO Corporation, Jennie-O Turkey Store, and MTU Onsite Energy, supported by a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
