Vanessa A. Y. is an Associate in Capital Markets and M&A at McMillan LLP, where the tenure began in September 2020 following an articling position. Prior to this, Vanessa served in various roles at Queen's Law, including Teaching Assistant, Admissions Committee member, and Student Ambassador, as well as taking on practical experience as a Student Caseworker at Queen's Elder Law Clinic. Vanessa held positions at Thomson Reuters and completed internships at McMillan LLP, Xtalks, and Pulse Energy, where responsibilities included market research and support for marketing initiatives. Vanessa earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from Queen's University and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours from the Smith School of Business, complemented by an international exchange experience at Sciences Po.
