Tawn King is an experienced education professional with a comprehensive career in human resources and school administration. Currently serving as the Director of Human Resources at McKinney ISD since June 2024, prior experience includes a similar role at Plano ISD from July 2016 to June 2024, along with positions as Assistant Director of Employee Recruitment & Retention and Assistant Principal in the same district. Tawn King also held the role of Assistant Principal at Shelby County Schools from July 2012 to June 2016 and at McKinney ISD from July 2005 to August 2012. Earlier in the career, Tawn King served as K-12 Curriculum Coordinator at Claiborne County Public Schools and worked as a Mathematics Teacher at Frisco ISD and other schools. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Educational Administration and Supervision from The University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Alcorn State University.
