Sarah Sparboe Thornburg is an accomplished attorney at McGuire Wood & Bissette, P.A. Previously, Sarah served as a Clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Higgins, Jr. at the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee from 1996 to 1998. Prior to entering the legal field, Sarah worked as a Social Studies Teacher at Dobyns-Bennett High School in Kingsport, Tennessee, from 1991 to 1993. Sarah holds a Juris Doctor degree from Wake Forest University School of Law, obtained between 1993 and 1996, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Duke University, completed in 1990.
