DeAnna Ball, PhD, is a seasoned professional in the education and academic design sector, currently serving as Director of Academic Design at McGraw-Hill Education since January 2003. With a diverse background in instructional design and editorial roles, DeAnna has held positions such as Lead Instructional Designer, Product Manager, and Senior Editor, as well as a 9-12 Science Editor. Prior experience includes teaching biology as an Adjunct Professor at Columbus State Community College from 2004 to 2010. DeAnna's research background includes postdoctoral roles at Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Ohio State University Medical Center. DeAnna earned a PhD in Molecular Biology from The Ohio State University, completing the degree between 1993 and 2001.
