In the role of Vice President of Clinical Services since 2017, Ms. Kenyatta Cathey oversees daily administration of clinical operations across Haymarket Center’s programs and services, ensuring that clients receive the highest quality care to address their substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health needs. She leverages existing systems and oversees the design of new processes to meet administrative, human resources, and regulatory requirements. In addition, as a trainer in mental health first aid (MHFA), Ms. Cathey trains agency personnel to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness through this evidence-based program. A highly skilled clinical professional, Ms. Cathey has developed, monitored, evaluated, and delivered behavioral health programs to address the needs of Haymarket’s clients since 2009. A licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) and certified drug and alcohol counselor (CADC), Ms. Cathey was previously director of clinical services at Haymarket. In this role, she was honored for her outstanding leadership service and commitment to Haymarket Center. Prior to joining Haymarket, she was intake coordinator at New Age Services, where she assessed and admitted clients to the agency’s outpatient program. Ms. Cathey holds an MA in Psychology and a certificate in Community Counseling from National Louis University.
