Mary Close is an accomplished professional in the food science industry with extensive experience in product development. Currently serving as a Product Development Manager at McCain Foods since March 2018, Mary Close manages the new product pipeline for key account customers and ensures the efficient deployment of new appetizer products. Previously, Mary Close was a Senior Food Scientist at Unilever from December 2008 to March 2018, where responsibilities included the innovation and renovation of North American vegetable oil spreads. Earlier roles at Unilever involved R&D product and process development as well as product development for frozen food brands. Mary Close holds a B.S. in Food Science from Cornell University and an Associate of Arts in General Studies from Montgomery College.
