Avish Buck has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Portfolio Analyst at CACEIS. In 2013, they joined Investment Planning Counsel as a Senior Corporate Accountant. From 2015 to 2020, they worked at First National Financial LP, initially as a Manager, Accounting, and then progressed to roles such as Senior Manager, Senior Director, and eventually Vice President, Operations. In 2021, they became the Treasurer on the Board of Directors at MBSIA, the Mortgage Backed Securities Issuers Association. In 2022, Avish joined MCAN Financial Group as the Vice President, Residential Lending, and later transitioned to the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Simultaneously, they became the President of MCAN Home Mortgage Corporation. Avish Buck holds an MBA, CFA, and CPA.

Avish Buck holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University, with an area of focus in Accounting and Finance and a minor in Economics. Avish also obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Queen's University, specializing in Accounting and Finance. In addition to their academic achievements, Avish holds certifications from CPA Canada (Chartered Professional Accountants Canada) as well as the CFA Institute for their CPA and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualifications.
