Niels Lohmann is an experienced engineering lead at MBition GmbH, overseeing a team of 11 developers in projects related to navigation systems, immersive applications, and games for the Mercedes-Benz infotainment operating system. Prior roles include senior navigation software architect, where Niels contributed to the development of a C++ data service for automotive navigation, and maintainer of the open-source JSON for Modern C++ library. Niels has also held significant positions at Carmeq GmbH, focusing on technical project management and software design for navigation data integration, as well as research positions at various universities, concentrating on business process and web service model verification. Niels holds a PhD in Computer Science from Universität Rostock and a Diplom-Informatiker from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
