Alexander D. Georges is a partner with McDonnell Boehnen Hulbert & Berghoff LLP. He has over six years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications in numerous technical fields specializing in the areas of electrical engineering, computer hardware and software. Mr. Georgesā€™ patent prosecution experience includes all phases of U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, client counseling, due diligence, and advice regarding validity, infringement, and enforceability of patents.

Mr. Georges has advised a variety of clients (including Fortune 500 companies) that span a diverse range of technologies. Examples in the electrical and software technologies include mobile apps and operating systems, cloud computing, software as a service (SaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS), wearable computing devices, telecommunications, digital map and vehicle navigation, unmanned aerial vehicle navigation, robotic control, speech recognition, machine learning, neural networks, and blockchain technologies. Mr. Georges also has experience in the mechanical and materials fields relate to kinematic robotic designs, additive manufacturing, automotive diagnostics, automotive design, unmanned aerial vehicle design, and antenna design.

Mr. Georges joined MBHB in the beginning of 2012 as a technical advisor/patent agent, and prepared and prosecuted patent applications. He attended law school evening classes while maintaining his full-time position at the firm.

Prior to joining MBHB, Mr. Georges worked as part of the network security team at Verizon Wireless in the Colorado Springs, putting to use his electrical engineering skills to develop network security structures to protect customersā€™ data and provide product support, and reliability.

Mr. Georges also actively participates in the community. He served as a team captain for a number of years for Relay for Life, a fundraiser event to help find a cure for cancer held by the American Cancer Society. He also helped prepare high school students for the next level by attending volunteer events through the Junior Achievement of Chicago.
