Nicole Cooper has a diverse work experience in the field of research. Nicole is currently working as a Senior Research Associate at Maze Therapeutics since March 2021. Prior to that, they held the same position at REVOLUTION Medicines from March 2020 to January 2021. Before joining REVOLUTION Medicines, Nicole worked as a Research Associate I at Pliant Therapeutics from May 2018 to March 2020.

Nicole's earlier experience includes their time as a Graduate Student Researcher in the Shaw Lab at UC Davis, Department of Chemistry. Their research in this role focused on synthesizing organic small molecules with potential biological applications, such as photoswitchable MRI contrast agents and inhibitors of bacterial cell division protein FtsZ. Nicole worked on various projects during their time as a Graduate Student Researcher from September 2016 to May 2018.

Nicole's initial research experience was as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Shaw Lab at UC Davis. Nicole contributed to the synthesis of organic compounds that could potentially inhibit the bacterial protein FtsZ, which is responsible for cytokinesis. Additionally, they were involved in determining the crystal structure of FtsZ in collaboration with the Fisher Lab at UC Davis. Their undergraduate research experience lasted from April 2015 to September 2016.

Nicole Cooper has a strong educational background in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. Nicole completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the University of California, Davis from 2014 to 2016. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the same university from 2016 to 2018. Prior to their studies at UC Davis, Nicole attended Solano Community College from 2012 to 2014 where they obtained a certification in Industrial Biotechnology. This certification was obtained in January 2015.
