Mellissa Gray has a diverse work experience in the scientific research field. Mellissa started their career at the University of California, Riverside as an Undergraduate Researcher in Organic Chemistry from June 2009 to June 2010. Mellissa then joined the company Aerotek as a Laboratory Technician for Genentech from September 2011 to September 2012. Mellissa then worked at Genentech as a Bioprocess Technician from September 2012 to April 2017, and also had a role in Purification Development from June 2016 to November 2016. Mellissa then moved to Gritstone Oncology, where they served as a Research Associate I in Experimental Immunology from April 2017 to February 2019. Currently, they are a Senior Research Associate in Immunology at Maze Therapeutics, starting from February 2019.

Melissa Gray obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Riverside, where they studied from 2006 to 2010.
