Panithaya Chareonthaitawee, MD, serves as a Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine since February 2021 and has held various leadership roles at the Mayo Clinic since 1998, including Director of Nuclear Cardiology and Diversity Chair in the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine. With a robust background in cardiovascular medicine, Panithaya Chareonthaitawee is also an Associate Editor for Circulation Cardiovascular Imaging with the American Heart Association, and previously chaired the Program Committee for the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University, a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Columbia University, an Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiovascular Fellowship from the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, and advanced training in Cardiac PET from Imperial College London.
