Georgios Chatzisofroniou is a Principal Information Security Engineer at Mayo Clinic, leading the penetration testing service line and establishing processes for manual testing of both on-premises and cloud infrastructure since January 2019. Previously, Georgios served as an IT Security Engineer and Researcher at the Cyber Defense Directorate of the Hellenic National Defense General Staff, conducting research, developing network security tools, and performing penetration tests on mission-critical infrastructure from January to October 2018. At CENSUS S.A., from September 2013 to December 2017, Georgios was involved in extensive security research and testing for diverse global clients, offering expertise in Red Teaming, security architecture reviews, mobile app security, and more. Georgios holds a PhD in Computer Security and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Piraeus, completing the PhD program in 2023 and the Bachelor’s in 2017.
