Derek Smith has extensive experience in drafting and design, currently serving as a Drafter at MAYEKAWA USA INC since October 2015, where responsibilities include creating mechanical piping plans and supporting projects through the design and manufacturing process. Previous roles include Civil Designer at James G. Terry & Associates, focusing on producing detailed drawings for various infrastructure projects using AutoCAD, and Customer Service Associate at Lowe's Home Improvement, managing customer relations and operational tasks. Derek also has a background in security and law enforcement, having worked as a Metro Courthouse Security officer for G4S and as a Correctional Officer for the Wilson County Sheriff's Department. Educational qualifications include a degree in Mechanical Drafting from the Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Murfreesboro and an Associate of Science degree from Volunteer State Community College.
