Marie Tovar, M.Ed, has extensive experience in program management and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Currently serving as Senior Program Manager at May Institute since 2007, Marie has overseen a residence for developmentally disabled individuals and has effectively hired and developed a team of over 20 program personnel. Prior to this role, Marie worked at Vinfen Corporation from 2002 to 2007 as Site Manager, where responsibilities included managing a behavioral residence for individuals with vision impairments and overseeing a budget of $100,000 with a team of over 10 personnel. Earlier career experiences include serving as a Residential Counselor II, providing direct support and implementing treatment plans. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and degrees in Sociology and Liberal Arts Science from Regis College and Massachusetts Bay Community College, respectively.
