Erik Holmgreen has extensive experience in research and development, starting with their role as a Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University, where they investigated heterogeneous catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of nitric oxides. Erik then moved on to UOP, where they held various positions, including Senior Scientist/Engineer, Senior Engineer/Scientist R&D, and Lead R&D Scientist - Catalysis and Materials Research. In these roles, they led cross-functional teams, developed breakthrough catalytic materials, increased test efficiency, implemented statistical quality control methods, and provided technical expertise on selective hydrogenation technologies. Currently, they are the Vice President of Research and Development at Maxxon Corporation, where they are responsible for guiding the development of new products and identifying new applications and markets for existing products. Erik leads a research and development team and collaborates with other functions within the company.
Erik Holmgreen has a strong educational background in Chemical Engineering. Erik completed their Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University, graduating in 2006. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University, graduating in 2001.
In addition to their academic achievements, Erik Holmgreen has also obtained a certification as a Six Sigma Black Belt from Honeywell UOP in July 2010.
