Steve Montoya is an experienced media professional with a strong background in sports programming and journalism. As the Director of Programming and Social Media at MaxPreps since July 2006, Montoya has been responsible for setting the vision and coverage of high school sports, programming content across various platforms. Prior to this role, Montoya served as Sports Editor at KCRA 3 News from January 2004 to June 2006, where responsibilities included editing video for nightly sports coverage and attending sporting events for interviews and reactions. Montoya holds a BA in Mass Communications from California State University-Sacramento, where studies took place from 2003 to 2005, and graduated from Placer High School in 2000.
