Patrick Wang has a wealth of experience in the business world. Patrick began their career in 1998 as a Project Manager for the ETG China Representative Office. In 2001, they became an Independent Entrepreneur and built a successful business-to-consumer ecommerce company. In 2003, they were promoted to Senior Sales Account Manager for Penguin Computing, where they managed the Northwest Territory and was responsible for sales and market penetration, strategic partner development, and alliance negotiations. In 2006, they were recruited by former colleagues to serve as Senior Sales Manager for FastScale Technology, where they developed low-cost, high-yield lead-generation tools for direct sales and channel sales departments. In 2008, they volunteered as an Organizer for Obama for America and the Ohio Democratic Party's LGBT and AAPI Caucuses. In 2009, they served as Deputy New England Finance Director and New England Steering Committee Deputy Director for the Democratic National Committee and Organizing for America. Patrick also held the role of Volunteer Field Organizer for EqualityMaine and Maine Freedom to Marry. Finally, they were an Account Manager at Maxonic from 2011 until the present.
Patrick Wang attended Villa Park High School from 1989 to 1993. Patrick then pursued a BA in Chinese Studies and Economics, International Area Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles from 1993 to 1998. During this time, they also participated in the UC Education Abroad Program (EAP) China, where they studied Chinese Studies, Chinese Politics, and Business. Patrick additionally attended Tsinghua University and Peking University, where they studied Chinese Language and Business respectively. In 2008, they attended the University of California, Los Angeles - The Anderson School of Management for an Intensive Business Chinese -- CIBER program. That same year, they also attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University for Business Chinese.
