Jonathan Slater serves as the Deputy Leader, Councillor for East Retford North, and Cabinet Member for Housing at Bassetlaw District Council, focusing on the management of 6,500 housing units. With a robust background in community service, Slater has been the Chair and Trustee of Hull Community and Voluntary Services since 2013, and has held various strategic roles at Maximus UK, including Strategic Engagement Manager and Integration Manager for the Local London Work and Health Programme. Previous political experience includes being a Councillor for Whitefoot Ward in Lewisham, where Slater was the Mental Health Champion and Cabinet Member for the Community Sector, overseeing critical community initiatives.
