Susanne Erdmann is an accomplished academic and researcher currently serving as a Professor at Universität Innsbruck since March 2024 and as a Max Planck Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Marine Microbiology since March 2019. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral position at the University of Technology Sydney from March 2018 to March 2019 and another Postdoctoral role at UNSW Australia from September 2014 to December 2017. Susanne Erdmann's earlier career involved a research associate and PhD student position, as well as a research assistant role at the University of Copenhagen between July 2009 and April 2014. Educational qualifications include a Diplom in Biology from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg (2003-2009) and a nursing degree obtained from Klinikum Darmstadt (2000-2003).
