David Helmin possesses extensive experience in education and hospitality. Currently serving as a Methods Teacher at Alternate Route to Certification through the Connecticut State Department of Higher Education since August 2017 and as an FCS Teacher at Ellington High School since September 2007, David also has a background in long-term substitute teaching within the Coventry Public Schools. Prior to their teaching career, David co-founded and operated two restaurants under NECT Hospitality, LLC, and held various management roles in the restaurant industry, including Director of Education at Morse School of Business, where responsibilities included overseeing curriculum for over 500 students and managing 77 teachers. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education from Eastern Connecticut State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Hartford.
