Cassandra Avery is an experienced medical professional with a strong background in molecular oncology and microbiology. Currently serving as the Molecular Lead at MAWD Pathology Group since June 2020, Cassandra specializes in the Molecular Oncology Lab and Women’s Health. Prior to this role, experience includes working as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in the COVID Lab at AdventHealth and as a Quality Control Technician at Ceva Biomune. A foundation in clinical settings includes a lengthy tenure as a Medical Technician at Retina Associates, P.A., as well as earlier positions as a Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. Educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Iowa State University and an Associate's Degree from Des Moines Area Community College. Cassandra Avery’s career spans over two decades, with diverse opportunities beginning in the United States Air Force as a Senior Airman.
