Alex Hernandez has a diverse and extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Alex started their career in 2012 as a Petroleum Engineering Intern at Desert Production, Inc., where they shadowed the Lead Petroleum Engineer and gained experience in maintaining and inspecting oil field equipment and wells. In 2014, they continued their internship at Legacy Reserves Operating LP, where they had the opportunity to shadow various professionals and ensure the proper functioning of oilfield equipment and facilities.
In 2015, Alex joined Halliburton as a Wireline Field Engineer for a brief period before returning to Legacy Reserves Operating LP as a Lease Operator. In this role, they operated numerous types of wells and managed their proper functioning. In 2017, they joined Apache Corporation as a Production Engineering Tech, where they oversaw 100 wells in an assigned area, monitored production, and provided recommendations for enhancing well performance.
More recently, Alex worked at Maverick Natural Resources, LLC, first as a Senior Production Engineering Tech from 2019 to 2020, and then as a Production Engineer from October 2020. Their responsibilities in these roles likely included optimizing well production, recommending workovers and recompletions, and ensuring efficient lift operations.

Alex Hernandez attended Midland Christian School from 2006 to 2010. Following this, from 2010 to 2012, Alex attended Midland College. Alex then transferred to Texas Tech University from 2012 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Petroleum Engineering.
