Karen McGinnis

Karen McGinnis has extensive work experience in consumer research, market research, product innovation, and consultancy. Karen has worked for various companies and held multiple roles throughout their career.

Starting in 1995, Karen worked as a Senior Process Engineer at Bayer, where they focused on operations troubleshooting, process improvements, quality improvements, and customer complaints. Karen achieved high success rates and received the President's Award for their contributions.

After leaving Bayer, Karen joined The J.M. Smucker Company in 2002 as a Jif/Crisco Product Development Leader. In this role, they led formulation, consumer insights, and early process development for product launches. Karen also directed sensory testing and process development for the launch of the new Uncrustables product.

In 2005, Karen joined Procter & Gamble as an R&D Engineer, initially working on Folgers products and packages. Karen later became an R&D Senior Engineer in the personal power category at Duracell. In 2016, Karen became an Independent Innovation Process Co-Leader, where they focused on driving innovation and leading innovation processes. Karen also joined YourEncore, where they worked as a Consumer and Market Research and Product Innovation Professional.

Karen McGinnis received their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1993. Karen then pursued further education and obtained a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University, which they completed between 1993 and 1995.
