Peter Saal has over 40 years of work experience beginning as a theatrical technician at At Large from 1981 to 1989. Peter served as the Systems Manager at Design Fabricators Inc. from 1995 to 1997, where they developed a mass customization system for Starbucks. Peter then worked at Furnitronics LLC as General Manager from 1998 to 2004. In 2006, they co-founded metaWorks LLC, which was acquired by Google. From 2007 to 2009, they were a Business Product Manager at Google. Peter then worked at Trimble Inc. from 2017 to 2022 as a Product Manager. Currently, they are the CEO of Mattersmith LLC.

Peter Saal attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1986 to 1988, where they studied Humanities. From 1988 to 1991, they attended SCI-Arc, where they earned a B. Arch degree in Architecture.
