Jeff Shaver has over 37 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. Jeff began their career in 1984 as an Industrial/Manufacturing Engineer at Lockheed Missiles & Space Company. In 1988, they joined Apple as a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer, where they were responsible for DFM and NPI of personal computers and laser printers in California. Jeff also held the roles of Production Planner and Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer at Apple. In 1991, they moved to 3Com as a Manufacturing Program Manager, where they were responsible for DFM and NPI of network communication products in California. Jeff also held the roles of Senior Manufacturing Engineer and Principal Manufacturing Process Engineer at 3Com. In 2001, they joined Echelon as a Director of Manufacturing Engineering, where they were responsible for DFM and NPI of smart electricity meters and data concentrators in California and control and energy management products in California. Jeff also held the role of Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Echelon. In 2010, they joined GreenVolts as a Director of Manufacturing Engineering, where they were responsible for DFM and NPI of HCPV solar receivers and modules in California. In 2013, they rejoined Apple as a Technical Program Manager - Core Technologies & iPhone Operations, where they worked with Haptic Engineering team and Core Technologies Operations team to develop haptic engine designs and bringup/scale the haptic engine manufacturing lines. Jeff also held the role of Automation Program Manager - Advanced Manufacturing Engineering at Apple. In 2020, they joined Home as a Senior Director of Construction, Maintenance, & Landscaping. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Matternet Inc as a Staff Manufacturing Engineer, where they are responsible for Production, Materials, Supply Chain, Test Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
Jeff Shaver obtained their Associate in Arts Degree in Electronics from Santa Monica College between 1978 and 1980. Jeff then attended San Jose State University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology between 1980 and 1984. Jeff later attended the University of Southern California and obtained their Master of Science Degree in Systems Management between 1985 and 1987.
