Alex Norman has been in the aviation industry since 2012. Alex began their career at Majestic Executive Aviation as a Crew Control. In 2014, they moved to Air Ambulance Technology GmbH as a Design Engineer. In 2015, they joined Airbus as a Ground Test Design Engineering. In 2017, they were an Aerodynamics and Propulsion Engineer at Flyability. That same year, they also began their role at Matternet as Head of Global Flight Operations and Services, and later held positions as Global Operations Lead and Operations Project Manager. In 2018, they became a Lecturer at ENAC - Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile.
Alex Norman has a long and varied educational history. In 2011, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from FH Joanneum. In 2013, they completed an Exchange Semester in the same field at ZHAW School of Engineering. From 2014 to 2016, they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from FH Joanneum. In 2016, they obtained an Advanced Master (MS) in Aerospace Project Management from ISAE-SUPAERO, ENAC - Ecole Nationale de l'Aviation Civile, and \u00c9cole de l'air et de l'espace. In 2019, they completed a course in Accident Investigation for Aviation Management at Cranfield University. Additionally, Alex Norman has obtained certifications in GPL from Austro Control in 2013, a Radiotelephone Operator Permit (AFZ) from the Austrian Telecommunications Authority in 2012, and a Specialised Master in Aerospace Project Management from ISAE-SUPAERO.
