Ward Nelson, CISSP, CISA, CBCP, has extensive experience in information technology and security, currently serving as Information Technology Security Manager and previously as Senior Security Engineer at MatrixCare since October 1998. Key contributions include developing the security program, overseeing audit and risk assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing security incident responses. Ward has also held roles as Security Engineer, focusing on internal audits and HIPAA compliance, and as Database Administrator, where responsibilities included managing the development environment and database performance. Prior experience includes serving as Sergeant in the US Army, specializing in military intelligence and ground surveillance. Ward obtained education at Century College from 1989 to 1991.
