Aquatic Biologist at Matrix Solutions

Emma Lippert MSc., P.Biol. has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biology and environmental science. Their most recent position was as an Aquatic Biologist at Matrix Solutions Inc., where they currently work. Prior to this, Emma was a MSc. Candidate at the University of New Brunswick, where they successfully defended and completed their thesis in January 2022.

Emma also has experience working at Environment and Climate Change Canada, where they held two different roles. First, they worked as a Research and Field Technician, actively participating in a project focused on the effects of storm water runoff and nutrient loading on the contributing tributaries of the Bay of Quinte. Later, they worked as a Research and Laboratory Technician, contributing to the Great Lakes Action Plan by assessing sediment quality in Lyons Creek, a tributary to the Niagara River. Emma was also responsible for receiving, logging, and verifying fish samples at the lab.

Furthermore, Emma worked at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment and Climate Change as a Sportfish Technician, participating in various field work activities such as sample collection and fish processing. Lastly, they gained experience as a Water Quality and Chemistry Lab Technician at CSA (Canadian Standards Association), where they performed routine tasks to ensure the certification of products related to potable water.

Overall, Emma Lippert's work experience demonstrates their expertise in aquatic biology, research, laboratory techniques, and environmental monitoring.

Emma Lippert MSc., P.Biol. holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biology, with a specialization in Environmental Biology. Emma obtained this degree from the University of New Brunswick, where they studied from 2017 to 2022. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's of Science in Environmental Biology at the University of Waterloo, attending from 2012 to 2016.

In addition to their academic accomplishments, Emma has also obtained various certifications. Emma holds a Basic First Aid certification from the Lifesaving Society, which they obtained in September 2016. Emma also has a Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation "A" certification from the Lifesaving Society Ontario, obtained in the same year. Emma has an Extended French Certificate from Barrie Central Collegiate, achieved in June 2011. Furthermore, they have obtained a Pleasure Craft Operator Certification and a G Licensed Driver certification from Transport Canada.

Emma also possesses a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHIMS) certification, which they obtained while studying at the University of Waterloo.
