Fabio Tonto has a diverse range of work experience in the environmental and engineering fields. Starting in 2001, they worked as the National Engineering Manager at Imbrium Systems Corporation, where they were responsible for environmental regulation analysis, engineering support, marketing, and product development. Fabio also presented at key conferences across North America. From 2008 to 2010, they served as the Water Program Manager at Pollution Probe. In this role, they managed water-related projects and initiatives. Fabio then worked as an Environmental Consultant at Lucania Consulting from 2008 to 2012, and again from 2017 to the present. During their time at Lucania Consulting, they provided environmental consulting services. Fabio also worked as a Project Manager at Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) from 2012 to 2017. In this role, they managed various projects related to conservation and environmental initiatives. Fabio also had a role as an English Teacher at Learnship from 2017 to 2019. Since 2020, they have been working as a Climate Change Specialist at the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Authority (LSRCA), where they coordinate and leads efforts related to climate adaptation and mitigation. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Water Resources Engineer, Technical Lead Climate Risk at Matrix Solutions Inc., where they utilize their expertise in water resources and climate risk to provide technical leadership.
Fabio Tonto completed their MEPP in Engineering & Public Policy at McMaster University from 2006 to 2007. Prior to that, they attended the University of Guelph from 1993 to 1997, but the specific degree and field of study are not provided.
