Blake Turnbull has extensive work experience in the environmental science field. They started their career in 2006 as an Inorganic Chemist at Maxxam Analytics, where they worked for six months. In 2008, they joined Matrix Solutions Inc. as a Remediation Scientist and Team Coordinator. Blake transitioned to the role of General Manager - Assessment, Remediation, Reclamation, and Monitoring in 2018. Currently, they hold the position of Senior Environmental Scientist at Matrix Solutions Inc.

Blake Turnbull completed their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Environmental Chemistry from the University of Calgary from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2005, they also completed their B.Sc. degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the same university. Additionally, in September 2014, Blake obtained a certification as a Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) from the Alberta Institute of Agrologists.
