Chris Matthews has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry. Chris currently holds the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Matrix Renewables, a renewable energy platform backed by global alternative asset manager TPG. Prior to this, they served as the Managing Director of Europe & Latin America at Matrix Renewables and was also the Managing Director of Development and Markets. Before joining Matrix Renewables, Chris worked as an Independent Consultant and held the role of Consultant. Chris also served as the Chief Development Officer at Jenner Renewables, where they focused on identifying new markets and opportunities for renewable infrastructure projects. Chris has also worked at Mainstream Renewable Power Ltd as a New Business Manager and Regional Manager for Latin America. Chris'sexperience includes negotiating deals, managing business development teams, and pioneering new product lines. Chris has also held roles at EdF Trading Ltd, Renewable Fuel Supply Ltd, Cinergy Global Trading Ltd, Enron, and Bechtel Corporation, where they gained valuable experience in trading, biomass, and project engineering.

Chris Matthews attended Birkdale School in Sheffield for an unspecified period of time. Chris then went on to study at Gordonstoun School in Scotland from 1989 to 1991. Finally, from 1992 to 1997, they attended the University of Cambridge, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
