Pranay Desai has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Currently, they hold the position of Principal at Matrix Partners India, where they lead B2B SaaS investments and actively engages with various startups. Prior to this, they worked at Freshworks, starting in 2014. At Freshworks, Pranay held multiple roles including Director of Growth Marketing, Head of Enterprise Marketing, and a role within the CEO's office. During their tenure at Freshworks, they played a significant role in driving the growth of the enterprise business. Pranay also worked as a Design Engineer at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited from 2009 to 2012 in the Transformer Division.

Pranay Desai completed a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati from 2005 to 2009. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the Indian School of Business from 2013 to 2014.
