John Fortes has extensive experience in planning and logistics within the maritime industry, currently serving as a Planner at Matrans Rotterdam Terminal since April 2020. Prior to this role, John worked at Uniport Multipurpose Terminals BV from October 2007 to February 2020 as a Vessel Planner, responsible for creating loading and unloading plans. John also served as a Terminal Planner at ECT Rotterdam from September 2005 to September 2007, coordinating the unloading and loading of vessels and optimizing container storage. Early career positions include Dispatcher/Yard Planner at Hanno Rotterdam B.V. from January 1998 to September 2005 and roles at Marine and P&O Nedlloyd focused on internal communications and administrative tasks. John holds a MEAO diploma obtained between 1992 and 1997 and a MAVO diploma earned between 1988 and 1992.
