Rishi Gurnani is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software engineering and materials science. Currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering & Algorithms at Matmerize since March 2021, Rishi specializes in developing AI-based software applications focused on natural sciences, particularly in polymer science. Prior roles include Technology Development Lead at Georgia Institute of Technology, where Rishi designed advanced polymeric materials for energy storage and gas separation, and President of Oracle PT, overseeing staffing solutions for physical therapy. Rishi's research experience encompasses roles at notable institutions such as the University of California, Berkeley, and Berkeley Lab, focusing on machine learning and molecular dynamics. Rishi holds a PhD in Materials Science and a Master's in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
