Juan Lazarte has held a variety of roles in the education sector since 2007. Juan began their career as Presidente del Consejo Directivo for Place Perú, where they were responsible for the organization's two lines of work: consulting services and human development. In 2008, they took on the role of Gerente de Servicios al Asociado and Director de Capacitación for the Asociación Automotriz del Perú. In 2017, they became a Certified Educational Agent and representative of the American National University, as well as a Sales Representative for Matific and Educational Consultant for TheTalkList. In 2018, they were appointed Country Program Manager for the Universidad de Alcalá. In 2020, they were appointed Director Financiero for the Federación Deportiva Peruana de Motociclismo, and in 2021 they became Director of the Gremio de Educación for the Cámara de Comercio de Lima.

Juan Lazarte obtained their Licenciado in Administration from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos between 1979 and 1985. Juan then went on to earn a Diplomatura in Environmental Consulting from the Universidad Científica del Sur between 2017 and 2018. Lastly, they earned an Especialista in Finances from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú between 1990 and 1991.
