Lachlan Jardine is a Senior Application Engineer at MathWorks since September 2020, serving as the technical lead for two aerospace accounts valued over $10 million annually and specializing in modeling and simulation for aerospace propulsion and auxiliary systems. Prior experience includes a Knowledge Transfer Fellowship at the University of Cambridge, where a successful fellowship application facilitated the transfer of PhD research to industrial turbine design, supported by an EPSRC IAA Knowledge Transfer Fellowship and Rolls-Royce plc. Lachlan also worked as a part-time consultant for Cambridge Aerothermal, providing tailored computational fluid dynamics (CFD) capabilities. Education includes a Ph.D. in Turbomachinery, an MRes in Gas Turbine Aerodynamics, and an MEng/BA in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, complemented by an MEng in Aerospace Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
