Benjamin Rankin has extensive experience in the optics and defense industries, currently serving as the Sales Support Engineer Manager and Facility Security Officer at Materion Corporation since October 2010. In this role, Benjamin leads a team focused on achieving orders and revenue goals for the Precision Optics division and is involved in developing sales forecasts for senior leadership. Previous positions include Senior Application Engineer and Program Manager at Materion Corporation, where Benjamin managed defense and space program accounts and supported new product development. Prior to that, Benjamin worked as a Sr. Product Engineer at Barr Associates Inc., specializing in custom optical filters and coatings, and began a career as a Polisher at Optical Corporation of America. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
