Tom Cluckers has a diverse and extensive work experience. Tom started their career as a Software Developer at Technosoft in 2001. In 2002, they joined Materialise as a Software Researcher and eventually took on roles such as Technical Manager and Managing Director of Materialise Malaysia. Tom then transitioned to a Research Manager position until January 2020. Currently, they hold the role of Software Research Director at Materialise.

Tom Cluckers attended OHVM Lummen from 1990 to 1996, and then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from UHasselt from 1996 to 1998. Tom later pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at KU Leuven from 1998 to 2000. Additionally, Tom Cluckers completed a Postgraduaat in Journalism at LUCA School of Arts from 2000 to 2001.
