Dan Button, PhD, serves as a Venture Partner at Breakthrough Energy Ventures since December 2021, focusing on innovative technologies aimed at combating climate change. Concurrently, Button functions as an Entrepreneurial Partner at Material Impact and previously held the CEO position at Datacule, a startup developing molecular information encoding technology. Button's extensive leadership experience includes roles as President and CEO at AIRY:3D, Innova Dynamics, Inc., QD Vision, Inc., and Boston MicroSystems, Inc., as well as Vice President and General Manager at E Ink Corp. Button's educational background includes a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a BS in Materials Science and Engineering from Cornell University.
