A highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable researcher working with industry as "Technical Director" and universities simultaneously to solve the industry problems by doing related research. Dali has been working on the development of sustainable concrete in the UK from 2003 and published the outcomes in prestigious refereed journals. During the research works, she taught different modulus relevant to Civil Engineering and Concrete Technology to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Currently Dr. Dali Bondar serving as Associate at Teesside university and Technical lead of Material Evolution Ltd since 2022, to initiate and execute strategies to discover new catalysts and processes that deliver new construction materials to the project teams. Before that she was working with Ulster University and FP McCann Ltd transferring knowledge, skills and expertise to help company to develop production of fire-rated performance of precast concrete sandwich panel (PCSP) systems. During working at Queens University of Belfast (2015-2018) and Coventry University (2013-2014) she has led three joint research project teams focused on using activated waste material to develop high value, low carbon, cement less durable concrete products. Prior to this role, Dali spent over a decade at Leading and controlling dam projects for design and construction materials considering all the technical, social and environmental aspects according to the sustainable development requirements. All these years she has taught different modulus relevant to Civil Engineering and Concrete Technology to undergraduate and postgraduate students in different universities in Iran and UK.
Dali has a strong educational background in engineering. She obtained a PhD in Civil Engineering from The University of Sheffield resulted in a patent [Patent No.51355 (Pozzolanic geo-polymer cements), Iran, 2008] and eight refereed journal papers in prestigious journals. In addition to her formal education, Dali has acquired several certifications including CMI qualification from Chartered Management Institute and KTN Innovation Strategy Course from Innovate UK Business Connect to enhance her management and leadership skills and innovation in the field. She is member of UK Institute of Concrete Technology, Associated member of Institute of Fire Engineering (AIFireE) and Fellow of The Higher Education Academy of UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and learning support in higher education. Dali is also an active member of four committees of RILEM (International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures) including: 290-IMC : Durability of Inorganic Matrix Composites used for Strengthening of Masonry Constructions; 317-ACP : Active Control of Properties of Fresh and Hardening Cementitious Materials; 318-BEC : Bio-stabilized earth-based construction: performance-approach for better resilience; APD : Alternative Paving Materials - Design and Performance.
With her extensive education and certifications, Dali demonstrates her commitment to developing a comprehensive understanding and acquiring practical skills and knowledge in the field.
